1. for this topic, i want toi talk about American valuble culture. Everybody know America has not very long history, but their history influence a lot. I am going to talk about religion in America, the Western pioneer, how the Western frontier spirt influnce USA, the life in America, the culture pluralism,the immigrants of America and the ethnic in America. Also i am going to talk about my own opinion about America.
2. Religion is important for America, you can see many churchs on the way, is very normal. I think more than 85%people in America , they have their own beliefs. But many people still believe in God. They think God can help them in many ways, if they really believe in God. Even in any kind of money , there is a model "in God we trust".
3.The Western pioneer has many good qualities need us to learn. They are not lazy, they like to make many things independence on themselves. And they like to protect their family use their own tools and guns. They do not rely governemnt or any other organization.
4.Western frontier sprits influence a lot in America, for a fashion way, like jeans. People like to wear jeans until now, but for qualities. They are very self-reliance, is similar with Western pinoeer, they just independence by themselves. They help others and also improve a lot for themselves.
5.America is a free country, the govenment do not like to control people to do something, they just let citizens to explore themselves and must in legal way. That is a good point to attract people come to America. And in this country, they have more opportuinty to do many things you want, and also many challenges.
6. America culture is pluralism. Mant kind of people live in America, they bring their own culture come to here and mix together. Then America like a "Melt-Pot". For example, there are many kind of restaurants at here, whateve what taste you want. You just can choose what you want. That is convenice and good for people. Also is good for explore culture.
7. During the ealry of America until now, there are many immigrants come to America. They think America has more good benefits and good issue to let people live in there and study or work. They like the style of America, so they come to America . During these years, many people come to here and married with an American, then they became an American too.
8. America is an ethnic country, there are many kinds of people live in America. Like white, Africa American, Spanish, Asina and Latino. Thoes can improve America is a "Melt-Pot"country again.
9. I just came to America almost a year, and i really like to reaserch about American culture. When i study in MSU, i think is more convience to let me know more about American culture.
10. America is a mixture country, i think is good to let people explore themselves, and challenging all the time in America. In my opinion is good for us to know what is a indenpendence country.

I don't understand the last sentence you wrote it about the god, and you wrote a point about the characteristics American people almost all of them are right, and the last point about U.S.A. that is right. We can see people in worldwide immigrate to America because it has more opportunities than others and welcome country.

America is called dreamland where have best education, good opprotunity, better life. But there are also have many problems. Such as the war, the economic view, and the race battle. Although there are many problems, America also is the best in the world. We should catch the pricous opprotunity, and study hard. Then, we will succeed.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. American culture is compositive. However most American believe existence of their native culture. In my view,freedom and complexity are also recognized to their culture. Because it has resulted from their history. There are many mixed sort of culture like as what you mentioned. And the culture is different from our country culture.

That right this is America.A lot of ancestries from different countries.That made a mix culture.There are Germany,British,England,French,and Italian culture.These are not all the countries but the most high number of the immigrants who came to the US.As for the religion,everyone has to have some believes in order to live for it.I think US has a lot of different religions.So the people can practice their custom with freedom.

The religons, the culture, even the language are no limited in this country. I think your right that although American not have a long history, but it's really influence a lot in the whole world. Also American has already become one of the most developed countries in the world.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, In my opinion Amercia is a pluralism cuntry, Amercia welcome every one to come, so there are many people who comes from different clutrues, but after a long time live in Amercia, those people start to blend in Amercia culture, thay study English, learn the history of Amercia. moreover, we know that Amercia has mang kinds of religion,people can jion in whatever religions if they want,government can not management, because they are advocate freedom, so a lot of Europe people immigrate to Amercia.they start new life in Amercia, they will feel culture shock, but they can defeat the diffcult in the future.

Although there are great number of people said living in America has a lot of disadvantages, such as violence, pornography and racism… there are thousands of students or people who come to America every year. In fact, not only the short history helps him but also mixed culture. This is the reason why America has become more and more powerful. As we know, America was independent from British. Many ancestors came from Europe, such as German… Many people are mixed bloods. As “American Dream”, anyone can be successful in America if you work hard and everyone is welcome so that she can get each country talented people every year. For example, the high technology center- Silicon Valley. More than seventy percent wealth was made by Asian people.

You said that the US is a melting pot. Yes, it is, but this expression is rather obsolete. Now people call it a salad bowl. Have you heard that expression before? How are these two different: a melting pot and a salad bowl?
ReplyDeleteSimply put, in a melting pot, everything melts and merges into one. On the contrary, in a salad bowl, they are mixed in one place, but still they are distinct and separate. Can you see the metaphor now?
The US has a lot of people from all around the world. Some are only studying for time being like us. Some come to work. Some even become Americans. Many are legal but some are illegal.
And although they live in the same country, they don't really communicate. They seem to form a community where only those people who come from the same background live together, and never dare to be immersed in the culture of "native" Americans.
One example would be China Town in NYC. People there speak only English because they do not need to. They go shopping within there and communicate only with the Chinese. So that is not necessary.
Of course, that is not true for everyone. But it is also true that there seems to be something called "cultural difference" that we can never overcome. So the question is to what extent should we get close? Well, this is a philosophical question.
