An exepensive car .vs a nice house
- If you have money what do you like buy a big house or buy a nice car? I always ask myself this question.
- I think you will answer this question in depend on you are man or woman. Everyone has different opinion.
- On one hand, I think men will prefer to buy the car because they do not like to stay home. If they could, they will live in the car. There is an image in my country that the man who has a nice car , he is very rich and all people respect him. It is like a prestige.
- on the other hand, woman would like to have a nice house with a great family. They like to invite their friend and make parties.
- They will not think too much in cars. Woman usually are not interested in cars. The car is only transportation for them.
- In my opinion, because I am a woman I like to buy a nice house even it is an expensive. I think car will be old one year after buying it. So I will need to change it to the newest one for that year.
- But the house most of the time will be with you forever. You will have your children in this house or may be your grandsons.
- House is the most important thing people will work and make money to buy it. But car is the way people can go anywhere by it.
- It does not matter if the car for this year or 5 years a go. Also you can get more money when you want to sell the house than when you want to sell the car. So it is like an investment thing.
- House is the place which people live on it so it is priority for anyone want to settle down with their family. What about you what do you think? Do you prefer to own a nice house or an expensive car?
Of course, I agree with you. If I had money I will buy a house or built a house, because the house can stay for a long time while the new car can stay for only very shourt time. Maybe for two days, if someone crush it. When I sell the house in future, I can get more money than when I buy it. Because of the devolepment in the cities while of coure I will lose some many when I sell my car in future. So of course, having a new house is better than having a new fast car.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about buying a house. However, I disagree with you about men think to buy a new luxury car. In fact, this is a stereotype about men when they have money. I believe not all men think in this way. I know many men do not pay attention about what kind of car they own,and What they think is this car is a lemon car or not, so they really spend years follow years to collect money to buy a nice house.
ReplyDeleteYes, i agree with you. I think buy s house is a good choice. House can really keep a long time, whatever you want sell or rent,maybe just you live in there. Is all useful and not wasteful. That's all your value. During those years, more and more people will buy 2 or 3 houses. Maybe they use to sell, then get high profit, in other hand they can rent, get money from each month.

I agree with you, house which can let people feel happyness, when we get in trouble or meet difficult the first place we remembered was our house. that a sense of belong. house we can live along time, maybe the whole life. in contrast, car is a facility for people use,that will spend too much money on it, we should protect it each month or each year, it should use petrol which is more and more expensive. the important thing is that car have a variety of styles, while it innovate every year, people cannot follow the step of car, if you want to catch up the new car trend, you should have a wealth of money. in that case, most of people cannot afford the money to often change car.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. In China, owning a big house is a impossible dream to many people who are poor. And Buying a big house is also a kind of Chinese traditional culture. At ancient times, if people want to get married, they should own a house first in China. Cars are a kind of luxury. For me, I will choose to buy a big house and then if i have enough money, I will buy a car.

i will get a car first, after then, i plan to get a house when i get married. i don't think we must to choice, a luxury car or a great house. Both them are really expensive. If i were a rich man now, i would get them two together. maybe then i prefer to buy a personal helicopter like Arnold's. however, the car first, it means a car can makes me go though efficiency period before my career take off. in other world, a car can take me to my destination quickly than my feet does. for me, a house, not only a place cover my head, but a place to leave my soul. so even if now i have a lot money in my bank account, i will not to get a luxurious house, a castle. it is not my style. finally, if i could, i would like to get a car first.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with you. It is true that man usually more likes cars than woman does. In my view, I will say it depends. I like cars very much, but I will think about how rich I am if I make decision between car and house. The house usually can help you maintain the value like a watch, unlike a car. If I am rich enough in order that I don’t have to worry money too much or even at all, I will buy a car. If I am just little rich, I will buy a house to keep my money go on.

As you said, house is a place where is people live on. If can give us safety. We need have a house, it means that we will have a family.

I heard that most men can show and express their status though which car they have. The car is their pride. However, most women are not interested in car. They think that the most important thing of car is just design and color. Also they like to desorate their house.

Yes, I agree with you. I think to buy a house is important for both men, and women. Buy a house, and get a home. Especially for those people who already have a family, have children, have a comefortable home is more important. Also, as a investegate, house is more valuable than tha cars. If you have more, buy a house and a car is the best choice.

So most of your classmates agree with you. Yeah. Owing a house is better than owing a car. It is absolutely true because a house is more expensive than a car.
Personally, I think these two things can not be compared because the prices are too different to be compared with each other. I mean, some expensive cars cost as much as a house or even more. But in most cases, it is cheaper than a house. For example, my car costed only $1,500. If you go to Japan, you can actually buy a car with $1 (although I do not recommend anyone's buying one of those). On the contrary, although it would be cheap in the country side, you can never buy a house with $1,500. So if you ask someone, "which do you want to buy, a car or a house?", I am sure most of them would answer "a house" because, again, it is more expensive, and if you sell it, you can get more money.
Unfortunately, because of this recession and subprime lending, the price of a house is going down. I have a friend who bought a house when he came to MSU. Now he is graduating and moving to another state. He is trying to sell the house, but it seems that it won't be sold for a while. The price is about a half of it when he bought it even now. So you can't make a profit out of it. Well, that is true for a car, too.
Lastly, I am not sure if men want to live in a car. If they do, I am sure they all die in winter in Michigan. Anyhow, I hope you will have a nice house designed by yourself in the future .
